Volunteer Driver Program

Want to be a Volunteer Driver?

We are Ready for You! Be part of a compassionate team of neighbors, friends and co-workers who bring hope and mobility to the lives of seniors. Seniors need reliable transportation to get to medical appointments, grocery shopping, personal appointments, social security or banking appointments and local social outings. Shopping drives are short trip sessions to destinations like Wal-Mart, Sprouts, Food for Less, and pharmacies and even for personal trips like beauty shops.

Eligibility

Next Steps

For volunteers ready to take the next step, plan on attending an upcoming Orientation Session and receive your complete application and other paperwork to begin your new journey. For those who are ready to volunteer, you will be invited to attend a one-on-one session to review your application and complete other important program documentation. Next, new volunteers will attend our background check, basic first aid CPR and training regarding driver safety and the senior health and living.
We ask all new volunteers to make a commitment to drive 2-3 times a month for at least 3 to 4 months. We know your volunteer driver experience will be rewarding.

Volunteers

Sabrina San Nicolas

“I was 17 when I had my first experience with serving older adults, I did volunteer driving for a small non-profit. It has always been a passion of mine to help wherever I can. Serving seniors is very gratifying and they are always grateful that someone cares enough to help them stay independent.”

Michelle Babb

“My passion for Seniors comes from me wanting to help others.”

Dennis de la Paz

“I am a senior too, at first I only wanted to drive one or two times a week, but I found I like helping people especially seniors.”
